I had an accident playing football at 17 and have had problems with my knee ever since, although it didn’t restrict mobility until I got older. As I was retiring the leg started to bend and my joints would come out. Luckily I wasn’t in pain but my ability to move easily was the issue, and I certainly couldn’t use the stairs.
Initially I saw a specialist who gave me injections as a temporary fix but I decided I needed an operation. A lady at my golf club recommended Mr Singh, so I went to see him for an initial appointment in November.
When I first saw him, he looked at my leg and he knew exactly what the problem was without x-rays. He then confirmed this and explained what would happen. I was under no illusion, and he looked after me like one of his family - an absolute gentleman in every respect - and I was booked in for my operation in December.
My recovery was infinitely better than friends who have had similar operations: I was up and walking with one stick just three days after the operation and was able to walk to Christmas lunch 10 days after the operation and play golf with no aid.
I was so pleased with the result that I’m now in the process of having my other knee investigated by Mr Singh.

Originally I slipped from a curb while on holiday. Although there was initial discomfort I assumed it would go away. I run regularly, and after 18 months I was still suffering with my knee and was unable to do this. I went to my GP who referred me to Mr Singh.
After examining me Mr Singh sent me for an MRI, the conclusion of which was the need for operation. I was sent to the day patient’s ward where Mr Singh operated on me. After an hour and a half of getting back to my room I was walking around and later walked out of the hospital, amazed by how little pain I felt.
I found Mr Singh exceptionally gracious and I enjoyed our meetings. He was very supportive and an exceptionally comforting human being. His professionalism inspired confidence and at no time was I made to feel rushed or pressured.
Two weeks later I had a follow up and agreed on a program of physiotherapy which was also very good and professional. After 6 weeks I had another appointment where it was decided we would continue physiotherapy until my final consultation.

I would like to say how much I appreciated the informative guidance I received from Mr Singh during the initial consultation for my damaged knee, and the care from him at all stages before and after the operation for my replacement knee. From our first meeting I felt great confidence in every aspect of my treatment by him, and would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone for his specialised skills.
My friends say I am now back to 'my old self' and I can now make much more of my life. I have nothing but praise for the results which Mr Singh has achieved with my new knee!
